The main theme: Motivation in language
Motivation in language, seen as the influence of a whole range of factors on any dimension of the linguistic unit, is one of the important research areas explored within the cognitive linguistics enterprise. It can be traced at all levels of linguistic organisation, and characterised from all kinds of cognitive perspectives: socio-cultural, embodied, communicative, historical, experiential, psychological, or any other. Hence we encourage submissions from scholars who examine any facet of this issue.
Besides motivation in language, we also invite scholars who explore any other topic in the area of cognitive linguistics and want to share the results of their recent studies.
In addition to the general session, we invite submissions to the thematic session: Cognitive Linguistics and the Law.
